The History of the Stick Horses in Pants

The idea for  Stick Horses in Pants (S.H.i.P. for short) started during the winter of 2004 when Christa Remund and Suzanne Hadley began talking about doing improv.  Their discussion soon turned to enthusiasm and they asked Hunter Willis if he would be interested in joining them.  Looking to expand the group, the players asked Jared Harp if he too would be interested in signing up.

It was not long after that event that the group began formal discussions about how to run the group and what the big plans and dreams were.  It became apparent that more people were needed so Sarah Smith was invited to join the group.

The group began meeting in early Spring and continued to grow in friendship and comedic talent.  With no plans for a show on the horizon, the group spent time playing improv games and refining their skills through practice and study.  But something was still missing they needed a name.

The moment of truth arrived when the players decided to use their talents to help a church with a fundraiser.  And, with that, the Stick Horses in Pants were brought out of the barn and into the world.
